A weekend favorite of the young crowd (University-aged or just after) is 1st Street. Dress is casual, and you'll almost never go wrong in jeans (and the de rigeur black t-shirt). Hang out with the crowd at the Vicious Circle with its summertime patio.

As well, you can meet your friends at The Soda, Bamboo Tiki Room, and The Castle Pub. At the end of 1st Street, on 17th Avenue SW is Tequila's nightclub, popular with the rock & roll crowd.

Recent demolition for condo construction has closed down area favourites like Crazy Horse and Mescaleros.

Just around the corner are some hip places along 10th Avenue
