The Stampede Corral, in Stampede Park was the first home for the Calgary Flames hockey team, before the Saddledome was built. It also hosts a variety of other sporting and entertainment events, and is a medium-sized concert venue, with a 6500 person capacity. The floor area ot the concrete-based ice surface is 17,000 sq ft (200' by 85') and has a 44' ceiling and a 12' x 11'8" freight door. Electrical power is 120V/208V. There is plenty of parking at Stampede Park (except during the Stampede) with best access from 14 Avenue SE, or you can take the Plus-15 form the Stampede LRT Station, through the Roundup Centre.
