Cooking Stampede Pancakes

One of Calgary's favorite Stampede traditions is the pancake breakfast. Everyone is served pancake, bacon, coffee juice and country music. A morning doesn't go by without a few free breakfasts put on by malls, communities and corporations around town. The downtown business breakfasts (for the office workers) typically run 7 a.m. to 8:30 or 9 a.m. All the other breakfasts (for the visitors) run from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., unless marked otherwise.

The info below is for 2009 Stampede, and will be updated for 2010 in May when the information has been provided by the Calgary Stampede.

Chuckwagon Breakfasts are held down at "Fluor Rope Square" (Olympic Plaza) from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. every day except Parade Day (July 3) and Sundays (July 5 & 12).
