Stampede dates: July 9-18, 2010
Wrtten by: Mark Ruthenberg
Nashville North provides free on-grounds country entertainment. You'll find it in the big tent in the middle of the Midway, and after noon you can hear it from a distance. Nashville North has seating and standing room for several thousand people, and has beer coolers around the outside wall. There's a dance floor in the middle, so you can dance to your favorite artists. Be prepared for line-ups to get in (sometimes as early as 4 pm), and if a major recording artist is featured that day, the tent may be filled to capacity early!
The info below is for 2009 Stampede, and will be updated for 2010 in May when the information has been provided by the Calgary Stampede.
This event is free with your gate admission. Adults 18+ only (which is the Stampede's way of saying booze is served and smoking is allowed). Generally headline acts(top of the list, below) perform two shows: 9 pm, and 10:30 pm. Country's rising acts (end of list, below) perform at various times during the day. Appearance times and dates are subject to change.
