Copperfield is east of Inverness and east of 52nd Street, located between 146 Avenue and Highway 22X. To the north of "146th Avenue is "New Brighton."

Schools
Public school students attend Acadia Elementary, David Thompson Middle School in Arbour Lake, and Lord Beaverbrook High on Fairview Drive.

Separate school students attend CDon Bosco Elementary/Junior High in Deer Run, and Bishop Grandin High in Haysboro.

Shopping
The area has its own strip mall on McKenzie Lake Boulevard, with additional stores in nearby McKenzie Towne. There's also Douglas Square at Deerfoot, and to the north in Douglas Glen. The largest area shopping centre is Southcentre Mall (Anderson Rd at Macleod Trail), with other shopping and a movie multiplex in Shaughnessy off Macleod Trail, via 22X.

Recreation
To the west of the community is the McKenzie Meadows Golf Club, on the bank of the Bow River. Race City Speedway is a few kilometres to the north of the community. The nearest movie theatre multiplex is in Shawnessy, west of MacLeod Trail.

Starter homes from $325,000 in Copperfield are built by Jayman, and Sabal. Starter townhomes from $280,000 are built by Sabal, Move-up homes are built by Homes by Avi, Broadview, Sabal, Stepper. Executive homes in the community start of $500,000 are being built by Albi and Jayman Master Builder.
