Homes: Kincora / Evanston neighbourhood

Kincora is nestled around Simons Valley Rd, to the north of Country Hills Boulevard, and West of Beddington Trail. Evanston is east of Symons Valley Rd. Country Hills gives residents fast access to the international Airport and Highway 2 to Edmonton, and once the new Stoney Trail is built, access will further be improved.

These communities are a bus transfer away from the #301 BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) express line, and adjoining Hidden Valley has transit connections to Calgary International Airport. The new Stoney Trail will provide excellent access to the Deerfoot and to the Rockies.

Schools
These communities are very new and have no established schools. Public board students attend Macleod Elementary/Junior High on 6th Street N.E., and Queen Elizabeth High on 18th Street N.W.

Separate board pupils go to St. Margaret's on 14th Street south of John Laurie Boulevard, and St. Francis High on Northmount Drive N.W.

Shopping
Most of the shopping in the area is at Beddington Town Centre, or in Edgemont at the Real Canadian Superstore.

Recreation
These communities are close to recreational pathways and not far from Nose Hill Park. Kinkora already has 5 km of integrated recreational pathways along area creeks and parkland. The area is also adjacent or close to 800-acre Nose Hill Park. There are several golf courses nearby including The Hamptons, Country Hills, Fox Hollow and Harvest Hills.

Homes
Homes being built in Kinkora, west of Symons Valley Road are move-up and executive/estate homes. The homes in Evanston, east of Symons Valley are mostly starter and move-up homes. In Evanston's Sytmons Corner, homes from $300,000 are built by Broadview, NuVista and Pacesetter, and in the Arrival area homes from $400,000 are built by Jayman, Broadview, NuVista and Sterling. Kincora home builders include Beattie, Centrex, Jayman, and Shane.
