Homes: Woodbine, Woodlands, Canyon Meadows

These communities lie south of Anderson and on the north side of Fish Creek Provincial Park. This area has some home built in the 1960s, though most development was during the 1980s boom years. Homes in this community are primarily single family residential dwellings, built on quiet curvey streets.
Canyon Meadows is closest to Macleod Trail. West of
the Canyon
Meadows golf course is Woodlands, which is also home to the William Roper Hull Child and Family Services. Between 24th Street and the city limits is the quiet neighbourhood of Woodbine.
Schools
The community has 4 elementary schools in the public board, and two Catholic elementary schools. Dr E.P. Scarlett High School in Canyon Meadows serves the public students, though Catholic students have their high school a commute away.
Shopping
There is a small plaza with a grocery store on24th Street, just north of Anderson. For any serious shopping, area residents head east to Southcentre Mall.
Recreation
Most of the recreation is around Fish Creek Park, with its recreational pathways that link tot he Bow River pathway system to the east. There is an indoor pool in Canyon Meadows, and two wave pools, the Southland Leisure Centre to the north, and the Family Leisure Centre to the east. Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club is in the middle of the community, and the Tsuu T'ina Nation Golf Course is to the west. Nearby movie theatres are in Southcentre and at Southland Dr.
Homes
The community is mostly single family homes in a range of styles, with some multi-unit condominiums along 17th Street SW and along Elbow Drive south of Canyon Meadows.
