This museum honors the RCAF and RAF bomber operations crews trained here during the Second World War. The British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, made possible by our airplane manufacturing industry and the abundance of airfields (and away from potential enemy attack or spying), was one of Canada’s most important contributions to the war effort. Displays include a rare Canadian-built Lancaster bomber, flight simulators, instruments, and photographs of Lancasters in action. The museum is open daily
May to October from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the rest of the year, Saturday & Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Allow 1 hour.
