The Inglewood area, just east of downtown, is Calgary's oldest neighbourhood, predating
the arrival of the CPR. Its charming architecture mixes old antique shops with a major
urban renewal effort.
Just east of City Hall are the Ntional Music Centre (opening in 2016), which will host some of the country's best music talent, inthe former National HOtel on 9th Avenue.
